Places
Only part of the map can be read at full depth here. This web server cannot send a part of a file, so the single commands are shown only for the engine and for framed patches that are stored with the page. Start the site with python tools/serve.py (in the project folder) and every one of the characters can be read.
The map shows the whole program of : characters, every one of them. What the colours mean is under Display.
Drag the map and zoom in, down to single commands. Or choose a place below: it moves the map and sets how it looks, and you go on from there.

The tour does not play by itself, because your system asks for less motion. Press Next to go on; the map jumps instead of flying.
A tour goes from stop to stop and says what you see. You stay in charge: move the map at any stop, then press Next.

About this map
The brainfuck program of : characters, every one of them on this map. It trains a neural network from random numbers on a list of names, and at the end prints a second program, the child, that makes up new names. The first only gets ready: markers and the seed. Far out the picture comes from stored counts of the commands; from 16 commands per pixel on, the page reads the program itself. measured
The brainfuck program of : characters, every one of them on this map. The first writes the model's numbers into memory; the last , the engine, does the model's sums. Far out the picture comes from stored counts of the commands; from 16 commands per pixel on, the page reads the program file itself. measured
Inside the program walks through what the parts do. Questions and caveats and credits are on the other pages. The chat models on this map (SmolLM2-135M-Instruct by Hugging Face, Qwen2.5-0.5B-Instruct and Qwen2.5-1.5B-Instruct by Alibaba Cloud, Qwen3.5-0.8B by the Qwen team of Alibaba Cloud, all Apache 2.0) are only run by brainfuck; their answers can be wrong. The DeltaNet layers of Qwen3.5-0.8B are explained on Compare the models .
